	<abstract language="eng">Background and Objective: One of the important factors contributing to students&#39; success is a positive attitude towards their field of study and future careers. Occupational health and safety engineering is a science that works in the field of employee health and work environment safety. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to obtain a thorough understanding of the factors affecting the attitude of students majoring in occupational health and safety engineering.
Materials and Methods: In this study, 62 students of occupational health engineering at Ilam University of Medical Sciences were examined in the academic year 2020-2021. The data were collected using the questionnaire of the University of Minnesota, containing 17 items which are rated based on a Likert scale. The data were analyzed using SPSS software.
Results: From 66 questionnaires, the mean scores of attitude towards the field of study and future career were calculated at 28.97&#177;4.25 and 24.8&#177;4.7. Considering 22 and 19 as the mean score of the attitude toward the field of study and future career, the scores obtained are more than the acceptable score.
Conclusion: The findings of the present study demonstrated a positive attitude towards the field of study and future career. Building the capacity of students to meet the needs of the labor market, familiarizing students with university courses before the national entrance exam, providing advice and support to students in justifying the course and work environment, and better communication between industry and university will improve students&#39; attitudes.</abstract>

	<abstract language="eng">Background and Objective: The present study sought to assess the effect of the Health Belief Model (HBM) on the use of Personal Protective equipment among the workers of a process industry.
Materials and Methods: The study involved an experimental intervention with 100 workers from various units in a process industry. These employees were assigned to two groups of 50: intervention and control. Initially, data were gathered using a custom questionnaire based on the dimensions of the HBM. The intervention group underwent a 12-session educational program over 3 months. The post-test phase took place three months after the educational intervention. The data were analyzed using SPSS software (version 25).
Results: The mean age scores of participants in intervention and control groups were 46&#177;3 and 38&#177; 2, respectively. The results indicated that following the educational intervention, the mean scores of awareness, perceived barriers, perceived benefits, and threats of employees were significantly higher than those of the control group (P&#60;0.001), with respective scores of 15.45&#177; 3.03, 22.21&#177;2.30, 16.61&#177;3.12.
Conclusion: As evidenced by the obtained results, implementing educational interventions based on the HBM increased employees&#39; awareness and favorable attitudes regarding using personal protective equipment.</abstract>

	<abstract language="eng">Background and Objective: Due to the nature of shift work, nurses are under high stress, which can ultimately affect their work ability (WA). Considering the importance of the nursing profession, in this study, the work ability index (WAI) of nurses was investigated in different departments in one of the hospitals affiliated with Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.
Materials and Methods: The present study is descriptive and analytical. The Work Ability Index questionnaire was used to evaluate work ability. First, 100 nurses were selected, and the collected data were analyzed in SPSS software (version 23) using descriptive and analytical statistical tests.
Results: In this study, 45%, 32%, 16%, and 7% of individuals had average, good, excellent, and poor WA, respectively. The mean WAI was higher in single people than in married ones (P=0.032). The WAI of nurses was statistically significant according to their employment status (P=0.01). There was no significant difference between the WAI based on the type of department (P=0.224). Likewise, the WAI was lower in nurses who had a second job (P=0.04). Day-shift nurses had a higher WAI (P=0.01).
Conclusion: In general, the WA status of nurses was in the average range. Given the relationship between some individual variables and the WAI, it is essential to adjust individuals&#39; responsibilities based on these correlations to improve this index.</abstract>

	<abstract language="eng">Background and Objective: The spread of accidents in various industries highlights the need to pay more attention to safety factors and try to improve employees&#8217; job satisfaction. Therefore, the present study aimed to assess the level of safety climate and the prevalence of work-related accidents by considering the mediating role of job satisfaction in Shabnam food industry.
Materials and Methods: In this applied and descriptive-non-experimental research, a total of 122 employees of Shabnam food industry were selected to complete the questionnaire. In order to assess the relationship between research variables, a researcher-made questionnaire encompassing 3 variables and 36 items was used. The data were analyzed in SPSS (version 26) and LISREL (version 8.8) software packages using structural equation modeling.
Results: The analytical results of the data demonstrated that the level of safety climate and job satisfaction had an adverse effect on the prevalence of work-related accidents. Moreover, the level of safety climate had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Finally, the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between the assessment of the level of safety climate and the prevalence of work-related accidents was confirmed.
Conclusion: As evidenced by the findings of the research, it is recommended that Shabnam food industry officials improve the safety atmosphere of the work environment and control the statistics of accidents by creating a safe work environment through the provision of safety equipment and providing relevant training. It was also concluded that paying attention to the needs of employees and getting their satisfaction can accelerate this process.

	<abstract language="eng">Background and Objective: Human errors are a significant issue in various work environments, including industry and mining. The present study aimed to assess occupational accidents in a large industrial mining company using the human factors analysis and classification system (HFACS) method.
Materials and Methods: This study conducted a retrospective longitudinal analysis of 253 mining industrial accidents from 2011 to 2019 using the HFACS. Descriptive statistics, such as frequency and percentage of subgroups at each level, were calculated using the HFACS method and SPSS software. Inferential statistics, including analysis of variance, t-tests, and chi-square tests, were performed with a significance level of 0.05.
Results: The type of accident was related to throwing/collision or contact with a foreign object, which resulted in a total of 232 injuries and one death. Statistical analysis demonstrated no significant link between the accident type and the educational levels of those involved, as indicated by a P-value greater than 0.05. Still, it pointed to a significant relationship with three other demographic variables: age, marital status, and work experience (P˂0.05). The highest frequency and percentage of the causes of accidents were also due to organizational effects and unsafe practices.
Conclusion: As evidenced by the obtained results, the frequency of human errors in the levels of unsafe supervision and unsafe practices significantly contributed to the occurrence of occupational accidents in the company. Analyzing accidents and understanding the relationship between causal factors at the four levels of the HFACS method is vital for implementing effective strategies to reduce accidents.

	<abstract language="eng">Background and Objective: Occupational injuries are considered one of the most critical health, social, and economic risk factors in industrial and developing societies, such as Iran. The long-term trend of these injuries has not been investigated in Hamadan province. Therefore, the present study aimed to assess the trend of mortality and Disability Adjusted Life Years (DALYs) rates due to occupational injuries in Hamedan province from 1990 to 2021.
Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive study, the trend of changes in the mortality and DALYs due to occupational injuries in Hamedan province over 32 years was investigated using Joinpoint Regression software (version 5.1.0).
Results: The DALYs (due to premature death and disability) from occupational injuries in Hamedan province decreased from 496.75 years per thousand population in 1990 to 229.98 years per thousand population in 2021 (the average annual percent changes (AAPC) was -2.40 and 95% confidence interval: -2.60 to -2.30). This decreasing trend in DALY caused by occupational injuries was also evident in men and women (the AAPC in men and women was -2.40% and -1.10%, respectively). Furthermore, the mortality rate due to injuries in both genders decreased from 7.55 cases per 100,000 population in 1990 to 3.46 cases per 100,000 population in 2021 (AAPC was -2.50% (95% CI: -2.60% to -2.40%).
Conclusion: Consistent with other studies conducted in Iran and the world, the trend of mortality and DALYs due to occupational injuries in Hamedan province had a decreasing trend.</abstract>

	<abstract language="eng">Background and Objective: Diesel storage tanks play a crucial role in hospitals and are constantly at risk of chemical release, explosion, and fire. The present study aimed to assess the consequences of a diesel tank leak in one of Iran&#8217;s specialized hospitals.
Materials and Methods: This study utilized an applied research approach with scenario modeling using PHAST software (version 8.4). A discharge rate of 1000 L/min was employed for the fixed-duration release scenario. The necessary information for the software, including tank and meteorological data, was collected. The mortality rate and danger radius were calculated and analyzed for two tank volumes of 23600 and 12000 m3 in conditions of Sabzevar region in winter and 1.5 F of the software.
Results: According to the tank type and substance released into the environment, the software displayed a pool fire. The most hazardous scenario was determined to be leakage from the 23600 m3 tank in weather conditions of Sabzevar (26&#176;C, wind speed 15 m/s in winter). The maximum and minimum radiation heat from the fire were calculated at 44.7 and 94.2 meters, respectively. The mortality rates for exposure levels of 37.5 kw/m2, 12.5 kw/m2, and 4 kw/m2 were found to be 98.7%, 6.5%, and approximately zero, respectively.
Conclusion: Fire safety in hospitals is a critical issue that requires a thorough examination of the factors that can lead to ignition and explosion. To mitigate these risks, it is recommended to strategically place diesel tanks, develop safety models for roadways, construct dams and dikes near tanks, regularly inspect equipment for corrosion and deterioration, and install sensors to detect leaks. These measures are essential for ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and hospital facilities.</abstract>

	<abstract language="eng">Background and Objective: Pain and disabilities in the musculoskeletal system can lead to reduced productivity and job turnover. The present study aimed to assess the role of posture, as well as job satisfaction and individual factors, in causing musculoskeletal pain and disabilities among urban bus drivers.
Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 130 bus drivers from Hamadan were investigated using a census method. Standardized questionnaires were employed to assess musculoskeletal disorders and job satisfaction. In addition, posture evaluation was conducted using the RULA. Finally, the data were analyzed in SPSS software (version 24) using T-tests, ANOVA, and Pearson correlations.
Results: The highest and lowest frequencies of pain in the past year were related to the back (72.3%; n=94) and ankle (3.8%; n=5), respectively. The mean body posture scores for the left and right sides of drivers&#8217; bodies were 5.85&#177;1.14 and 6.06&#177;1.05, respectively. The intensity of pain and disability in the musculoskeletal system had a direct relationship with age, work history, body mass index, and posture score, and an inverse relationship with the mean of sleep hours, exercise, and job satisfaction (P&#60;0.05). 
Conclusion: Severity of pain and disability in the musculoskeletal system was associated with drivers&#8217; posture score, age, work experience, body mass index, exercise habits, shift work, hours of sleep, and level of job satisfaction. The findings of this study can inform interventions aimed at enhancing the musculoskeletal health of bus drivers.
